Our suggestions to discover an ancient people’s culture

Situated at an altitude of 1025 metres, the archaeological site of Ruinas is one of Sardinia’s highest: there’s a charming view, as far as the eye can see, over mountainous summits.

In the area called Genna Troculu, near the Flumendosa lake, you can admire the remains of a collective grave, a “tomba di giganti”. The visit ends with a walk on the summits of the Gennargentu.

The Parco Archeologico of Selene, situated in a dense wood that makes the visit particularly charming, is composed of a nuraghe surrounded by about 200 huts which formed the village.
